Shots Fired in Altercation Outside Algiers Bar

Brothers Kenneth Manard and Valry Manard were jailed last week after being identified via Facebook, then photographic lineup. They are accussed of being involved in an altercation that occurred outside of an Algiers bar on November 18th. Combined, the brothers were booked on three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, three counts of principal aggravated assault with a firearm, two counts of aggravated criminal damage to property, and illegal use of a weapon.

Attorney Gregory Carter appeared in court on December 21st representing Valry Manard, where bond was set at $16,000. Carter said, "Even if you take everything in the warrant to be correct, my client did not commit any crime. He had no knowledge of that the gun was there or that it was going be fired".
